Overview

Project overview

St. Mary’s University in Halifax is at the forefront of sustainable modernization with its latest retrofit project. The installation encompasses over 6,000 SQFT of solar cladding, complemented by a semi-opaque vertical curtain wall on the south elevation. The design of the panels serves as an accent wall on the Loyola Residence building, with a discreet showcase of solar technology blended in between stripes of seafoam green. This blend of classic and contemporary elements not only enhances the building's aesthetics but also underscores the university's commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Project Solutions

Solutions in use

Solar Facade

Our Solar Facades are designed to effortlessly substitute your building's existing facade, transforming it into a dynamic solar energy-harvesting surface. At the heart of each panel lies a sturdy aluminum honeycomb core, coupled with a layer of high-performance solar cells, making every piece an efficient source of renewable energy.

Overtop the energy generating layer is the customizable exterior– a versatile canvas that can recreate any pattern or color. This adaptability allows the fusion of aesthetically pleasing architectural solar facades with the functional benefits of BIPV technology. It’s a harmonious blend of form and function, bringing to life facades that not only captivate the eye but also contribute positively to the environment.
